 The World Wide Web: A system that lets you access information on the Internet.
 Website: A location on the World Wide Web (and Internet) that contains information about a specific topic.
 Homepage: Provides information about a website and directs you to other pages on that website.
 Link/Hyperlink: A highlighted or underlined icon, graphic, or text that takes you to another file or object.
 Web Address/URL: The address for a website.
 Address Box: A box in the browser window where you can type in a web address.
• When visiting a .com address, there no need to type http:// or even www. Just type the name of the website and then press Ctrl + Enter. (Example: Type ‘apple’ and press Ctrl + Enter to go to www.apple.com)
